Welcome to week 6 of our summer swim season! The board has a few important reminders for the upcoming week.

GENERAL

As a reminder, if your family's schedule changes, please make updates to your RSVPs one week in advance of our swim meets. Please be considerate in making changes in advance because scratches (late cancellations or no-shows) make it very hard on our coaches, especially if your swimmer is entered into relay events.

VOLUNTEERS

Thank you to those of you who have already signed up for volunteer jobs on our website! There are still volunteer opportunities at each of our July swim meets - home and away! If you haven’t already, please visit our website to sign up: https://sycaquatics.swimtopia.com/swim_meets

As a reminder, Sycamore is responsible for all aspects of the concession stand for both weekends this year and we need your help! This responsibility rotates through each FWSSDL team in alphabetical order, so we will not have this fundraising opportunity for several more years. We need to fill all available volunteer spots to make this a success. *If volunteering during a session that your child is swimming in, you are absolutely able to step out to cheer on your swimmer!*

SWIM MEETS

Home PREP Meet (upcoming) - SYC vs Autumn Ridge @ 10:00am

We hope to have as many prep swimmers swimming as possible! The prep coaches will send more information to prep parents, so please lookout for their email communication. The prep meet will last approximately one hour. All big team groups (black, white, and red) will practice as usual.

AWAY Swim Meet (upcoming) - Glen Aqua on July 11th

We have an away swim meet at Glen Aqua this coming Thursday. As a reminder, all away meets begin at 6:00pm. Swimmers need to arrive at 5:10pm for warm-ups. You will be notified which events your child is swimming in prior to the meet. Please write their events on their arm before they come to the pool on Thursday evening. If your swimmer needs help with this, please let a coach know when you arrive for warm-ups.

CITY MEET INFORMATION

The city swim meet is right around the corner! The city apparel store is open now and will close TONIGHT (July 7th)! Only a small amount of inventory will be available for purchase at the meet. Please visit to order:https://fwcityswim2024.itemorder.com/shop/home/

Pre-sale Weekend Pass:

Swim families can purchase a weekend wristband pass for $10 per adult. This pass will get one person into all sessions of the 2024 Fort Wayne City Swim Meet at Helen P. Brown Natatorium. This pass is only available by pre-sale and will not be available to purchase at the meet. Families who choose not to order weekend passes can still pay at the door. The price is $5 per session, and children 18 and under are free. If you are interested in purchasing a pass, please see a Board member at swim practice or a swim meet by FRIDAY, JULY 19th. Please fill out the attached order form and include cash or check (made out to Sycamore Hills Swim & Dive Team).
